A través de una excelente traducción en español y una entretenida y aleccionadora enseñanza, Robert nos educa y prepara para un futuro diferente si nos atrevemos a salir del confort, cambiar nuestros paradigmas sobre finanzas y nos adentramos en nuevos terrenos con la seguridad de aprender y crecer en términos de finanzas y de libertad de tiempo y dinero.
Para mí fue un verdadero shock aprender que el ahorro y vivir por debajo de mis medios NO son la solución a mi futuro financiero. Todavía me da miedo la deuda pero este libro me ha enseñado a explorar y aplicar el concepto de deuda mala y deuda buena, de manera tal que he empezado a construir mi riqueza a partir de desarrollar activos apalancados en la deuda y el escrutinio para aplicarla en las oportunidades. Sé que aprenderé cometiendo errores pero las enseñanzas de Robert serán invaluables para salir adelante.
No te pierdas este libro. Es genial.

I really like the book, which is why I have continued using it. I like that it is succinct, laid out intelligently, and includes good examples. . . . About the Author
Timothy J. Kloppenborg is a Castellini Distinguished Professor of Management at Williams College of Business, Xavier University. He previously held faculty positions at the University of North Carolina Charlotte and the Air Force Institute of Technology and has worked temporarily at Southern Cross University and Tecnologico de Monterrey. He has over 100 publications, including STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP OF PORTFOLIO AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT, PROJECT LEADERSHIP, and MANAGING PROJECT QUALITY. His articles have appeared in PROJECT MANAGEMENT JOURNAL, JOURNAL OF MANAGEMENT EDUCATION, JOURNAL OF GENERAL MANAGEMENT, SAM ADVANCED MANAGEMENT JOURNAL, INFORMATION SYSTEMS EDUCATION JOURNAL, JOURNAL OF MANAGERIAL ISSUES, QUALITY PROGRESS, MANAGEMENT RESEARCH NEWS, and JOURNAL OF SMALL BUSINESS STRATEGY. Dr. Kloppenborg has been active with the Project Management Institute for 30 years and a PMP since 1991. He is a retired U.S. Air Force Reserve officer who served in transportation, procurement, and quality assurance. Dr. Kloppenborg has worked with over 150 volunteer organizations, many directly and others by supervising student projects. He has hands-on and consulting project management experience on six continents in construction, information systems, research and development, and quality improvement projects with organizations such Duke Energy, Ernst & Young LLP, Greater Cincinnati Water Works, Kroger, Procter & Gamble, TriHealth, and Texas Children's Hospital. Dr. Kloppenborg has developed and delivered innovative corporate training and undergraduate, MBA, and Executive MBA classes in project management, leadership, teamwork, and quality improvement. He also teaches PMP Prep classes. He holds a BS in Business Administration from Benedictine College, an MBA from Western Illinois University, and a PhD in Operations Management from the University of Cincinnati.

Textbook Does NOT Include Microsoft Project Printed Access Card!!

The product name is incorrect. It does not include an access card for Microsoft Project. I notified Amazon when the first copy did not include the card, and they promptly sent another textbook. The second also did not have the card. I would give Amazon a third chance except my class has already started. I am returning the second textbook as well because without the access card the new textbook is not worth the extra cost. The publisher (Cengage) does not offer the textbook without the access card, so Amazon should return these books as defective.

Mind-Numbing Reiteration of PMI Ideas

This book is a mind-numbing reiteration of the Project Management Institute's principles and ideas. Contemporary Project Management appears to assume that everyone has heard of PMI and specifically wants the PMI spin on project management. It follows the PMI ideas so slavishly that one might as well just buy materials from PMI.

More than they seem

Amazing and compelling. These books may be listed as "fantasy"; however, there are kernels of ethics, morality, spirituality, life lessons, logic, reason, and much more within and scattered throughout all of these novels. They are both escapist and relaxation stories, and deep soul touching and intelligent personal discourse allowing the reader to see themselves and those around them as if from the perspective of a disembodied or unattached observer - it is stunning when this realization finally comes to you. I have yet to find any book or novel throughout those within the Wizards of the Coast line (Dungeons and Dragons, Forgotten Realms) that does not have merit, in one way or another. My children have just begun reading these, and they are starting to see this and ask questions, allowing discourse and enlightenment. I thank the authors for this wonderful gift.

To read, or not to read: that is the question.

Bought the Omnibus to reread again, makes it convenient having 3 in 1.

I was given the 1st book in the trilogy when it first came out as a Christmas present back in the 80's. Got around reading it a few months later, honestly couldn't put it down.

After reading the 1st one I lucked out getting the 2nd one when it was released, to be honest, a saleswoman at the bookstore (Waldon's) screwed up and sold me a copy that she grabbed from storeroom, the shipment of them had just arrived and where not to be sold until midnight that evening. They sold out that evening within an hour.

It's one of those books in a series that you'll cram time to read whether waiting in line, riding a bus, sitting in the backseat of a car, washing your clothes at the laundromat, or on the toilet.

If you like magic, DnD style storyline/world, characters of varies alignments, good and not so good working together in order to battle a powerful foe, in a well thought out world, then this is a great series to read. Raistlin Majere being one of my favorite characters, he's good at being bad.

Word of advice, read these 3 books (Dragons of Autumn Twilight, Dragons of Winter Night, Dragons of Spring Dawning) before picking up any other Dragonlance book.

Some of the later books are hit and miss when it comes to a good story, but for me the first three are by far the best.

About fifteen years ago I read The Death Gate Cycle by Weis and Hickman and really enjoyed it. I picked that series up again this year and, to my surprise, devoured it with the same enthusiasm I had as a child. That series was well written, engaging, mature, and nuanced. The first book took a bit to get into, but then each book after was better and better.

I bought the Dragonlance Chronicles from Weis and Hickman hoping for more of the same, but I have to say I was disappointed. Maybe the target audience is younger, or maybe it was a more junior work on the part of the authors, but for whatever reasons this book felt much more like cookie-cutter fantasy fiction. While there were a few unexpected turn of events, for the most part you can guess at the ending the whole time. The characters, while each "developing" throughout the novel all still feel a little thin and predictable (e.g. The spoiled child learns to grow up and be selfless and humble). Pretty basic stuff here. Not a lot of depth of character and not a lot to grapple with. Pretty straightforward good guys vs. bad guys, and you know what side people land on quickly.

Unlike the Death Gate Cycle this was a series that I would have enjoyed in my early teen years but is too simplistic and formulaic for me as an adult. If you're reading this review and considering this series for yourself or as a gift, I'd actually suggest just jumping skipping this bland appetizer and going straight to the delicious main course that is The Death Gate Cycle.

I bought this book for a friend who was taking conversation classes and he enjoyed the book very much. Told me that the front cover page bended in the first days, but I guess this is expected from the type of material of these books. Overall, the content and structure of the book seemed to help him very much to improve his conversation skills.

About the Author
Craig Cecil has been involved in sports and the science of exercise since his days of high school athletics in baseball, through his collegiate career in NCAA Track & Field, to his devotion to weightlifting and bodybuilding pursuits over the past 20 years. During that time, Craig has trained with professional athletes, as well as multitudes of dedicated, ordinary individuals just wanting to build lean, muscular body weight. Craig is a member of the National Strength & Conditioning Association and holds an MBA from Loyola University of Maryland.

Awesome guide on fitness!

Step-by-step instructions on how to build a home gym. Cecil's advice on body-building, weight lifting, and dumb bells was precise and informative. This book is filled with great pictures and detailed instructions for beginners like me to gear up for New-Year's Resolutions. If you ware in need of help losing weight, or building muscle, or want to cut back on gym memberships, give this book a read!

Just What The Doctor Ordered!

I recently bought a home and couldn't wait to begin assembling a basement gym. I was so tired of the rat race driving back and forth to a crowded commercial gym full of equipment I don't use and people that annoy me. I'm so glad I waited to begin putting my gym together until I had a chance to read the copy of Bodybuilding at Home that Craig sent me.

He outlined the pros and cons of many different pieces of equipment and made outstanding recommendations. I followed his advice and was able to save not just money but also space. I now have everything I need with room to expand a bit in the future with a couple of specialty pieces if I want.

I can't thank Craig enough for helping me get locked and loaded for many years of productive training without ever leaving my house. The only negative is that he enabled me to become even more of a hermit, haha. Great book from a super knowledgeable source!

The WALL: You'll want it after reading

Those who are familiar with Ann Coulter's work, already know that she does extensive research and cites all her sources. This book's citation section is almost a quarter of the book (88 pages).

She unveils how the US media, using subtle techniques, hide the truth about immigrants (illegal and legal) and the crimes they commit. You will be SHOCKED to find out how even US criminal justice system treats immigrant crime differently (more lenient). Even law enforcement officers are retrained to think and approach immigrant criminals differently. I bet you thought the US judicial system was designed to be fair and unbiased (hence the Lady Justice having a blindfold)? Well, it seems you and I were LIED to in school growing up.

If you like America this book will anger you. Be forewarned.

If you are pro-environment Coulter will show you how, when and why the so called pro-environmental organizations changed their stance from pro border-control to pro mass-immigration and amnesty (e.g., Sierra Club). Wildfires destroying US National Parks bother you? Care to guess the majority cause of said wildfires? That's chapter 12 for the tree-hugger in you.

Coulter shows how every government program from H-1B visa program -- misused to import essentially "slaves" to work at restaurants and even underaged girls as concubines for a multimillionaire, -- to 1986 agricultural amnesty (Chuck Schummer) -- used by some of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing terrorists -- are inundated with fraud. Crazy eh?

Chapter 13 is another goodie, where you will learn how, when and why the New York Times shifts its criticizing stance on lack of border enforcement to pro-mass-immigration.

This book is pretty depressing -- again, only if you like America, the idea behind what America is and what has made it, possibly, the greatest nation in human history -- but Coulter's wit, sprinkled here and there, help the reader through. As it has been quoted many times, it is great to have a heart, but you also need to have a brain! otherwise, it is ¡Adios, America!

Fantastic insight into the problems of illegal AND legal immigration

First, the book is fantastic! The author recounts in painful detail the endless horrid crimes committed by immigrants, both legal and illegal. She show how there is a vast cultural gulf between the kind of country we built, and the cultures that the Democrats are importing into the country in endless waves. Child rape, murder, importation of child sex slaves from India under the H1B visa program, etc. etc. It is mind numbing to learn the number and disgusting, perverted nature of some of these people. Yes, we have home grown perverts and criminals. That is a problem we have to bear, but why do we need to import other peoples' problems? Do we need MORE perverts and criminals?

Second, I bought it new from Amazon back in May. It was new, no doubt about it, looking like it had never been opened, much less read. However, I'm approaching the end of the book and last night I leafed ahead to see how many pages to go before I got to the bibliography and discovered a hand-written note at the bottom of the final page. Was it a thank you from Ann for purchasing her book? Was it a quick addition she made to the text that didn't get to the printer in time? No, it was a loving message from some Amazon.com employee, who apparently disagrees with the notion of halting immigration. I originally included an image of the defacement of my book in the review, but Amazon censored it to prevent customers from seeing what their employee did. The comment left in my book by an Amazon employee was, "_ _ _ _ you for having read this book." (count the underscores and think of a word that would fit in both size and context)

Great Book - Facts and Arguments Against Our Broken Immigration System and Philosophy

Ann Coulter's writing style might not please everyone, but it seems to be her way to replying 'in-kind' to the Left which has been over-the-top for decades with their nastiness. In any event, the book is very good, very informative, brings up several argument points that put on full display the lack of logic or consistency of those who want unbridled immigration from any source into the USA. This book is not 'newly released' but is topical and right on the money. I strongly recommend the book to all in the same way that I recommended Mark Steyn's "America Alone" - must reading to understand that the path America has been on is self-destructive and has to be changed right now.
